Jubilee Health, Airtel Money and Axieva partner to offer affordable Mobile Health Insurance.
- The affordable range of Health Insurance benefits, include:
- Hospital cash – available at premiums as low as TZS 300 per month,
- Inpatient cover – a choice of either TZS 5,000,000 or 8,000,000 at a monthly premium as low as TZS 15,000.
- Maternity coverage of up to TZS 2,000,000 per year
- Outpatient cover of up to TZS 600,000 per year
Dar Es Salaam, 6th December 2023… Jubilee Health Insurance has partnered with Axieva and Airtel Money Tanzania to introduce a comprehensive and affordable Health insurance cover, specifically tailored to cater for diverse needs of individuals and families.
This strategic partnership aims at revolutionizing the health insurance landscape by providing affordable, market-relevant, and easily accessible coverage, right at the fingertips of Airtel Money customers. According to a report by Finscope Tanzania 2023, only 3.5 million Tanzanians have Insurance cover down from 4.2 million in 2017.
The partnership aims at taking advantage of the 75% of Tanzanians who own a mobile phone by providing them with a well-crafted mobile healthcare product. Moreover, the solutions is dedicated at extending insurance benefits to millions of Tanzanians who have been excluded from such services mainly due challenges in accessing the products as well as affordability.
By simply dialing *150*60# on the Airtel network, Airtel Money customers will gain access to a comprehensive and affordable range of insurance cover, including:
Afya Poa which is a Hospital Cash cover that will reimburse customers a pre-determined amounts of between Tsh 20,000 and Tshs 50,000 per night spent in hospital starting from the 3rd) night at monthly premiums of between Tsh 300 and Tshs 3,000. The Second benefit which is Afya Supa will offer customers a cashless Inpatient limit of Tshs 5,000,000 and Maternity of Tshs 2,000,000 per year and one can include a spouse and up to 5 (five) children. Premiums for Afya Supa will range between Tshs 15,000 and 45,000 per month. The third benefit, Afya Dhahabu will also offer a cashless Inpatient benefit of Tshs 8,000,000, outpatient benefit of Tshs
600,000 and Maternity benefit of Tshs 2,000,000 per year for monthly premiums of as low as Tshs 30,000 per month.
The insurance solutions have been designed to be inclusive, catering for people of all generations, with a minimum entry age of 18 years and a maximum joining age of 65 years at entry.
The hospitalisation benefits – Afya Supa and Afya Dhahabu are cashless options that will enable our customers to access medical care without paying any money. They simply walk in and out of the hospital enjoy coverage within the purchased limit.
Afya Poa on the other side is aimed at replacing income lost during one’s hospitalization. The cash reimbursement is equally hassle-free as customers can simply initiate a claim by dialing *150*60# from their Airtel line and follow the simple instructions.
