TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE DO ANYTHING FOR THE STEPS CAMPAIGN

The Do Anything For The Steps Campaign (“the Campaign”) is held by Jubilee Health Insurance Company of Tanzania Limited (“Jubilee Health”) By participating in this Campaign, the Participant (as defined below) hereby irrevocably and unconditionally agrees to be bound by all the terms and conditions hereof:

1. Campaign Period

The Do Anything For The Steps Campaign shall commence from 10 November 2023 to 9 November 2024 (both dates inclusive) (“Campaign Period”). Any extension or reduction thereof shall be at the sole discretion of Jubilee Health.

2. Eligibility

The Campaign is appliable to the following participants: (i) all Tanzania citizens and residents aged 18 years and above; (ii) a participant who has successfully purchased J-Care Policy through Jubilee’s Website; (iii) a participant who has accepted Jubilee Health’s data and marketing consent policies and lastly (iv) a participant who has agreed to participate in the Campaign.

3. Campaign Mechanics

a) For a customer to be entitled for a cashback reward, the customer must:

  i) Successfully purchase J-Care Policy from the Jubilee Website and accepted the campaign’s Terms & Conditions, as well as data and marketing consent provided on the Website.

 ii) Download the MaishaFiti App and connected their wearable device to the App. Connection is made through the applicable in-built or third-party fitness app.

 iii) Points are earned daily with 3 points being the minimum and 8 points the maximum allocated within a day. Points will accumulate based on a participant’s progress.

b) Points earned in the Campaign are not redeemable for cash and cannot be combined with any other offer or discount offered by Jubilee Health.

c) As part of the campaign, Jubilee Health will be distributing free wearable devices to the customers. A customer will be eligible for a free wearable device based on the following:

i) Successfully purchase of a J-Care Policy through our Website including consenting to data and marketing policies;

ii) Did not apply the “DoIT4THESTEPS” Promo Code;

iii) Confirmed participation to the Do Anything For The Steps Campaign by agreeing to the campaign’s T&Cs.

d) Wearable devices will be provided on a first come, first serve basis, subject to availability.

e) Successful participants will have their cashback (Up to 15% discount on premium paid) credited to their mobile phone wallets. Jubilee Health reserves the right to amend, substitute and replace the value or discount applied in whole or in part at any time without giving any prior notice to the successful customer.

f) A successful customer is entitled to cashbacks four (4) throughout the duration of the Campaign Period. Jubilee reserves the right to amend the distribution of the cashbacks.

g) Any reference made to a customer or successful customer in the Do Anything For the Steps Campaign T&C shall mean a Participant as defined in the General T&Cs.

General Terms and Conditions for the Campaigns

a) Definitions:

i) In this user agreement, the terms below have the following meanings:

  • “Jubilee Health” means Jubilee Health Insurance Company of Tanzania Limited.
  • “MaishaFiti App” means an online wellness application that is wholly owned by Jubilee Health Insurance Limited that a user installs or downloads from an online application store and accesses via a mobile device, including any smartphone and/or table device.
  • “Customer” or “Successful Customer” all refer to a participant in the campaign.
  • “Wearable Device” refers to the wearable devices that will be provided to the user free of charge by Jubilee Health Insurance Limited
  • “Website” means the Jubilee Insurance website.

b) Jubilee Health reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend, alter, modify, omit and/or vary any part or the whole of the terms and conditions of this campaign without prior notice to the participant(s). Participant shall be bound to observe, perform, and comply with the terms and conditions herein and any amendments thereof.

c) Jubilee Health reserves the sole and absolute right to verify, confirm, remove, validate each participant as to whether the participant qualified as a participant under this campaign. Entry for the Campaign is only open to an eligible Participant as described under the respective terms and conditions.

d) Any and all decisions made by Jubilee Health in relation to every aspect of the Campaign, shall be final, binding and conclusive. Any subsequent correspondences, protest, appeals or enquiries will not be entertained.

e) Jubilee Health will not request for any personal banking details such as credit card/debit card number and bank transaction authorization code (TAC), password, personal identification number (PIN) or one-time password (OTP) for the Participant to claim the prize (if any) or for any reason whatsoever in respect of the Campaign. Please do not share your banking details with anyone. However, Jubilee Health may request for your mobile phone number for purposes of awarding the reward to the Participant.

f) Jubilee Health reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, terminate or suspend the Campaign at any time upon giving adequate notice in any manner it deems necessary. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, withdrawal, termination, or suspension of the Campaign shall not entitle any of the Participant to any claim or compensation against Jubilee Health for any losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Participant as a direct or indirect result of the act.

g) Jubilee Health shall not be liable for loss or damage to property or any personal injury or loss of life resulting from or in connection with the Campaign.

h) Jubilee Health disclaims any liability arising from the products or services purchased or provided to the Participant from third party merchants and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Jubilee Health expressly excludes and disclaims any representations, warranties, or endorsements express or implied, written or oral, including but not limited to any warranty of quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose in respect of such products. Participant expressly understands and agree that the Campaign and the products including wearable devices are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

i) By participating in this Campaign, Participant agrees that the Participant has read, agrees to and accepts the terms of Jubilee Health’s Privacy Notice and the Participant consents and authorizes Jubilee Health, to collect, use, store, disclose, and process the Participant’s personal data provided and obtained on any of the Jubilee Health’s platform in accordance with the Privacy Notice. In addition to this, Participants agree and consent to his/her personal data or information being collected, processed and used by Jubilee Health:

  • The purposes of the Campaign; and
  • marketing and promotional activities conducted by Jubilee Health, including but not limited to any form of advertising or publicity media and materials such as audio and/or visual recordings published through newspapers, television networks, radio stations or online and digital media and on the Internet. Marketing and promotion activities include without limitation the use and/or publication of any details provided in and/or in connection to the entries, interviews material as well responses and related photographs. In this regard, Participant agree to co-operate and participate in all advertising and publicity activities of Jubilee Health in relation to the Campaign.

j) Except as expressly mentioned herein, Jubilee Health shall not be responsible for any expenses and cost including out-of-pocket expenses related to or as a consequence of participating in this Campaign.

k) The Participant acknowledges that the Campaign is subject to resource availability, including, without limitation, availability of wearable devices. Jubilee Health does not make any warranty on the performance and capability of the wearable devices. Further, Jubilee Health excludes liability for any problems or technical malfunction experienced while in ownership of the wearable device.

l) Jubilee Health does not make any commitment on the uptime, performance, and capability of its MaishaFiti App. Further, Jubilee Health excludes liability for any challenges or downtime that might be experienced while using the App.

m) The Participant shall at all times exercise all reasonable skill, care, and diligence in the discharge of their obligations under this Campaign.

n) Participants hereby irrevocably and unconditionally agree and acknowledge that their continued participation in this Campaign constitutes their continued acceptance of these terms and conditions and any specific campaign term and conditions relevant to the Campaign that it is participating towards (as updated from time to time on the platform).
